Those of you who follow me on the socials may have seen my post from last week. It went like this:

Well… sometimes life says NOPE! All packed for Gram Parsons Fest, rushing around to get to Waycross for rehearsal with my Burrito Sisters and I tripped down the “death stairs” to my bedroom and fractured my fibula. Did I mention I live on a boat now? Her name is Calypso and I love her dearly but she reminded me… one hand for the boat, one hand for yourself. You boaters know what I mean. So I’ll be sitting like this for a few days. Sending big love and awesome music vibes to my Gramily. I’ll see y’all next year!

It’s that time of year again, y’all! Time to head to Waycross, GA to hang out with the “Gramily”. This will be my 12th year playing the festival! My solo set is Friday night at 7:30pm and I’ll be performing with my Burrito Sisters on Saturday at 2pm. To commemorate the many years of cosmic love and joy, I’ve put together a video of pictures from my time at GPGP, with the soundtrack of a song I recorded with FJ Ventre (that’s him on upright bass…thwack!) at his studio in Chapel Hill, NC recently. It’s “Cash on the Barrelhead”, a Louvin Bros’ song Gram performed and recorded. My take is from a bluegrass version that Dolly Parton recorded in 1999, so it’s also a Dolly tribute of sorts. I’m back home from my solo tour (had a blast!) and ready to rock! I’ll be playing some super-fun shows with Anders Thomsen Trio this weekend. First, we’ll be at The Warehouse Bar & Grille on River Street in Savannah on Friday, October 9, 8-midnight. On Saturday, we’re playing the Main Stage of the “2026 Tybee Pirate Fest” (click HERE for more info) from 2 to 3:30pm. And yes, I’ll be in my full pirate gear. Arrr! Then, we’ll head up to Charleston for a late-night show at Burns Alley, 10pm-1am. Come see me!
