Music this weekend…

Hope to see y’all out and about this weekend! I’ll be playing solo at Sago at Sea Palms this Friday, September 29, 7-9pm. And I’ll be rockin’ with Kellie & the Kruze-o-matics behind the magic fence at Captain Stan’s Smokehouse this Saturday, September 30, 6:30-10pm. Looks like the weather is gonna be beautiful (temps in the 70s-80s… heck yeah!), so come sit outside and have dinner with me. See you soon!

AmericanaFest…

AMERICANA FEST!! I think I love you! Wow, y’all. Finally got back from Nashville and man, am I tired… and inspired! Panels and performances, all day for 4 1/2 days straight. Met some of the coolest people ever – Deke Dickerson (check out his book “Sixteen Tons – The Merle Travis Story… it’s really good and so fascinating), Jesse Dayton, and the incomparable, Mojo Nixon (Mojo Nixon World Empire). Also, got the chance to catch up with my friend and Gramily sister, Donna Frost. Highlights were the awards show at the Ryman with my good friend Amy Goodwin (so many amazing performers!), Hank Williams’ 100th birthday tribute show, the Outlaw Country (SiriusXM) party at Robert’s Western World and guitar shopping (well, looking) at Carter Vintage Guitars with Deke. YAY! Can’t wait to go back next year!

This week with KP…

Hey y’all… I’ve got one solo and one band gig this week. Thursday, I’ll be on St. Simons Island playing solo at Golden Isles Olive Oil, 5-8pm. Friday, I’ll be in Brunswick with Kellie & the Kruze-o-matics at The Study@Reid’s Apothecary, 9-midnight (call 912-289-2659 on Friday for the password). Sure hope to see you at one or both!
