AMERICANA FEST!! I think I love you! Wow, y’all. Finally got back from Nashville and man, am I tired… and inspired! Panels and performances, all day for 4 1/2 days straight. Met some of the coolest people ever – Deke Dickerson (check out his book “Sixteen Tons – The Merle Travis Story… it’s really good and so fascinating), Jesse Dayton, and the incomparable, Mojo Nixon (Mojo Nixon World Empire). Also, got the chance to catch up with my friend and Gramily sister, Donna Frost. Highlights were the awards show at the Ryman with my good friend Amy Goodwin (so many amazing performers!), Hank Williams’ 100th birthday tribute show, the Outlaw Country (SiriusXM) party at Robert’s Western World and guitar shopping (well, looking) at Carter Vintage Guitars with Deke. YAY! Can’t wait to go back next year!Love y’all, KP
