Thanks y’all…

Thanks so much to everybody who came out to see Kellie Parr & Her SideCars at The Boat House in Fernandina last Saturday. We had a blast! A big thanks to the super groovy dancers in the audience (yeah, I’m talkin’ bout you, brother-in-law, Steve!). If you missed the show, we’ll be back there June 1st, so don’t miss it! We also have a couple fun shows this weekend… Friday at The Study at Reid’s Apothecary and Saturday at Captain Stan’s Smokehouse. More details coming soon…

Peace, KP

Music this weekend…

Looks like we might have a few rainy nights in Georgia this weekend. Dang it! But if the rain stays away, Kellie Parr & Her SideCars will be playing on Jekyll Island at Tortuga Jacks this Friday, March 22, 5-8pm and we’ll head down to Fernandina Beach to play The Boat House on Saturday, March 23, 6-10pm. Text or message me for weather updates. Hope to see y’all soon…

Love, KP

Last weekend with KP…

What a fun weekend I just had, y’all! I drove all the way up to the big city with my friend, Teri and stayed in the coolest BNB in Little 5 Points (Atlanta) called the Urban Oasis. We went to see my good buddy Deke Dickerson, along with his band the Beard-o-Fonics, tear up the stage at The Star Bar. Awesome show! Stopped by Manuel’s Tavern for a St. Patrick’s Guinness, shopped at my old fave Junkman’s Daughter, and had brunch on the way home at Mama Louise’s H&H Soul Food Cafe in Macon. YUMMY! On Monday morning, I woke up to a really cool “capsule review” of Kellie Parr & Her SideCars‘ EP by DC Larson…click HERE to check out his blog. It’s short, so I’ll also paste it below too. Speaking of the band, we have 2 gigs coming up this weekend and I’ll share more info about those shortly when I have an updated weather report… stay tuned!

Peace, KP

DC Larson’s Jukebox Jury: “Kellie Parr & Her SideCars” – It’s wise to be wary of combos citing lodestars as disparate as Hank, Wanda Jackson, Blondie, and the Clash. But those contentions enjoy validity in the present instance, as quickly becomes apparent. Wonderfully free of lifted-nose airs, Kellie and the straightforward sparkplugs she’s assembled submit carbonated performances that are shoes-off comfortable in both hay bale and citified circumstances.
