Song of the week – No Time to Pine

For the final song of my “Song of the week” series, we have one of my favorites. Saving the best for last perhaps? I’m not sure why I buried this song as track 10 but here it is… “No Time to Pine”. It’s about one of my favorite things in the whole world – guitar players. They’re sneaky, wily characters and I can’t resist! You know the type… they breeze into town, show you a good time, then they’re off again. Ugh! I can’t help but love ‘um. But of course, I have ‘no time to pine’ over them. Click HERE and you’ll see what I mean. And as always…

Thanks for listening, KP

P.S. See you tomorrow at the Fish Dock, 7-10pm.

Ahoy y’all… Join me this Saturday, December 17, 7-10pm at The Fish Dock Bar & Grill. I’ll be hanging out with my pirate sister and our friend the tiger shark, playing some dinner music – maybe some sea shanties… definitely some Christmas songs! See you soon, maties…

Song of the week – Birthmark

Hey y’all… I’m running a little late on my “Song of the week” installment! Gotta head out to a gig soon (come see me!), so I’ll keep it short and sweet. This one’s a tear-jerker, for sure. It’s about tragedy and loss and how we try to push the sadness away. I use the imagery of a birthmark (I actually do have one on my forehead) to represent the things we see but don’t want to draw attention to or talk about. In my case, it was the death of my sister when I was a baby and the death of my husband about 15 years ago. This one’s totally autobiographical, y’all. Click HERE and let me know what you think. Hope to see you this weekend…

Thanks for listening, KP
