… well, actually I was in the audience. But as you can see, we were really close! I just got back from a fantastic, week-long trip to Nashville. We went to the Grand Ole Opry and saw an amazing show…check out the poster for the line up. Ralph Stanley, at 88, was especially impressive. He can really belt it!
I also visited the Nashville Songwriters Association for a mentoring session and did some co-writing with my good friend and songwriter, Pamela Brown Hayes. Overall, it was a great trip and I learned a lot. Stay tuned for some new original songs and that “spring/summer” CD project I keep promising. Coming soon!

other busy week! First, a double header at The Rooftop at Ocean Lodge. Thursday night, it’s the Chamber of Commerce event “Business After Hours”. Admission is $5 members/$7 non-members and includes food, drink and some cool door prizes. Friday night, I’ll be rockin’ the Rooftop with my band, Roy Gentry & Hired Guns. It’s our first time playing as a band at Ocean Lodge. Come have some dinner with us and enjoy the ocean view. On Saturday, the band will be playing at Gnat’s Landing in Redfern Village…always a fun place to hang out, have some adult beverages and dance!
