It’s that time of year again, y’all! Time to head to Waycross, GA to hang out with the “Gramily”. This will be my 12th year playing the festival! My solo set is Friday night at 7:30pm and I’ll be performing with my Burrito Sisters on Saturday at 2pm. To commemorate the many years of cosmic love and joy, I’ve put together a video of pictures from my time at GPGP, with the soundtrack of a song I recorded with FJ Ventre (that’s him on upright bass…thwack!) at his studio in Chapel Hill, NC recently. It’s “Cash on the Barrelhead”, a Louvin Bros’ song Gram performed and recorded. My take is from a bluegrass version that Dolly Parton recorded in 1999, so it’s also a Dolly tribute of sorts. Click HERE to see/hear it. So come on out to Okefenokee Fairgrounds in Waycross this weekend (not Uncle Dave’s house like it says on the poster). Click HERE for tickets. Hope to see y’all soon!
Cosmic peace, KP
