Hey y’all… So we got some sad news this week that Loretta Lynn passed away. She gave us so many amazing, authentically-country songs over the years… she’ll always be with us. I like to think she and Patsy Cline are hanging out somewhere, laughin’ and harmonizin’ (like in this illustration from a video of “I Fall to Pieces” that Loretta released 2 years ago). Looking back, I realize how much of an inspiration these two women have been to me, both as a performer and a songwriter. Stay tuned for my tribute to Loretta Lynn… if she wrote it, you know it’s gonna be a fun song!
No gigs this weekend, but I’m REALLY looking forward to next weekend. I’ll be heading over to Waycross, GA for the 25th Annual Gram Parsons Guitar Pull & Tribute Festival. Kellie & the Kruze-o-matics will be playing a set at 2:55pm on Saturday, October 15. Get your tickets HERE. It’s the first in-person Gram Fest since 2019, so y’all gotta come join us!
